Semaglutide is a GLP-1 analogue indicated for weight loss in adults with an initial body mass index (BMI) of >/= 30 kg/m2 (Obesity) or >/= 27 kg/m2 (Overweight) in the presence of at least one weight related comorbidity such as high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus type 2, or high cholesterol. Obesity is not just a state of mind. There are many factors that contribute to obesity such as stress, genetics, hormonal/metabolic disorders, and environment. Semaglutide helps to regulate your appetite by acting on the brain’s hunger factory; reduce your appetite by allowing you to feel full faster; and regulates your insulin secretion from the pancreas in response to meals.
